A peek at my process for making some holiday goodness. Most years there is a theme or inspiration aside from the holiday to riff off of, like riding a Taun Taun or what if Santa were a Shark. This time around, it’s what if Santa filled in for Hellboy during the holidays.
Work in progress. I forgot to snap a picture of the pencils. Also, my art board may be possessed, and that’s a good thing.
The composition is totally based on a Mignola masterpiece, though I’ve swapped in trees for tentacles, etc.
